A dark-haired boy with round glasses walked up and down the empty Gryffindor Common Room in a way that would have driven anyone mad, but luckily, most of the students were enjoying the weekend in the grounds, or at the village. The reason for the boy to act like that was that he was nervous, extremely nervous: he had a date. But it wasn't just a date; it was a date with one of the most coveted girls in the school: she was gorgeous, smart and brave, and, as he had recently found out, he was madly in love with her.
Suddenly, he caught a waft of a familiar flowery scent and looked up. She was there, staring at him from up the stairs, with a confident one-sided smile on her face. And when he met those beautiful and fierce brown eyes, he forgot it all, his worries, everything. He smiled at her, admiring her flaming mane of red hair, which danced on her back as she nimbly went down the stairs. Of course he didn't have to be nervous; being with Ginny was just natural to him, as if they were made for each other.
"Am I late?" she said tucking her hair behind her ear and smiling. She hadn't dressed up, and that was one of the things he loved about her, she was just her, Ginny, uninhibited and self-assured, and you could take it or leave it.
"No, you're right on time, I am the one who arrived early" he answered smiling too "I guess I was a bit nervous" the boy admitted. She laughed, and Harry's heart raced, recognizing the sound.
"Nervous? The famous Potter boy is nervous?" she mocked him. He raised his eyebrows, pretending she had annoyed him "I'm kidding. You don't have to be nervous. You know me, it's not like you're dating just some girl" she said, straightforward as always. He smiled widely.
"I know. You are definitely not just some girl" she smiled even wider. It was him, Harry, the infatuation of a younger her, the boy who had managed to steal her heart, to make her, the tough Weasley girl, feel vulnerable, but also safe next to him. "So… do you want to go to, I don't know, Madame Pudifoot's?" Ginny grimaced as if she was going to throw up, and it was his turn to laugh. "Just kidding. I've thought of something much better. Nothing corny" she laughed and punched him softly in the shoulder, and then she stood on her toe tips and kissed him sweetly on the lips.
"Let's go, then" she said. Harry smiled and held her hand, and they went through the portrait hole together. There were just a few students in the castle, and they all gazed at them when they passed by, but the couple didn't pay attention to them. Harry was relieved; dating Ginny wasn't weird at all. He was brimming over with happiness instead.
"Where are we going?" she asked him curious, slightly frowning, when Harry turned round a corridor.
"To Hogsmeade, of course" he said, smiling enigmatically and taking out his wand. Ginny was a bit confused, but after all, she was Fred and George's sister: she was used to the unexpected. When they reached the statue of the humpbacked witch, the boy tapped it three times and whispered "Dissendium", opening the secret passageway.
"Where does this end?" she asked, already getting into the hump.
"Honeydukes" he said "Just thought we could get some sweets, in case we didn't have time to go to The Three Broomsticks later…" she looked at him intrigued, but she didn't ask anything else and slipped down the passageway.
Once in the dusty basement, they had to wait until the coast was clear to sneak into the shop. Ginny seemed to be having fun, and she appreciated the fact that Harry wasn't treating her like any other girl. Taking her to Hogsmeade through that passageway had proved that he really knew her.
After buying some supplies for the rest of the day, Harry led her to the village's outskirts and asked her to wait there for a second. Puzzled, Ginny waited admiring the amazing landscape. A gentle breeze messed up her long red hair, and she closed her eyes, enjoying the wind.
"You look beautiful" a soft voice said, and she opened her eyes again. Harry was standing next to her, holding a broomstick. Ginny smiled widely and took it. Harry placed his hands on her waist and they both kicked the floor at the same time. They flew over the hills for hours, talking and laughing, enjoying each other's company.
"This is great, Harry" she whispered when they were only a few feet high, turning her head in order to see his bright, almond-shaped green eyes. He smiled and, placing one hand in the back of her neck, kissed her passionately. They both fell to the ground, laughing, and rolled on the grass until Ginny ended up lying on Harry's chest.
"I'm in love with you, Gin" he said, looking at her in the eye. The redhead smiled from ear to ear and planted a kiss on his lips, happier than ever. "I love you too, Harry"
Hello everybody! This one-shot is the prize for :icondark-tundra-chaos:, the winner of the second prize of :iconweasleyfanclub:'s Deathly Hallows contest.
(I wrote this one first because she was the first one to answer me about the theme)
The prize was a One-shot, 500-700 words, and the winner requested "a simple scene of Harry and Ginny on their "first date" at Hogsmeade, as fluffy as you can make it"
Well, the title is not very original, but it's 1 am and my head is kind of burnt.

Hope you like it!
